Position Summary :
As a Senior Middle Market Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing risks, evaluating policies, and ensuring profitable growth within our middle market segment.
With your keen analytical skills and deep understanding of insurance principles, you will identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and provide innovative solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
What You'll Do :
- Evaluate and underwrite complex middle market insurance submissions across various lines of business.
- Analyze data, assess risk exposures, and determine appropriate pricing and coverage terms.
- Collaborate with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders to develop and maintain strong business relationships.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform underwriting decisions and strategies.
- Mentor junior underwriters and provide guidance on underwriting best practices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting, with a focus on middle market accounts.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to make sound underwriting decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
