Job Summary :
The Project Manager for Multi-Family Door, Trim, and Hardware will oversee and coordinate the installation and management of door, trim, and hardware projects within multi-family residential developments.
This role involves working closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Planning and Coordination :
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, and engineers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Schedule and manage subcontractors and installation teams for door, trim, and hardware.
Budget and Cost Management :
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
- Review and approve invoices and change orders.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
Quality Assurance :
- Ensure all installations meet company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Manage the quality control process and oversee any necessary rework.
Client and Stakeholder Communication :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders.
- Prepare and present progress reports to clients and upper management.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Prepare and submit reports on project status, financials, and performance metrics.
Risk Management :
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Team Leadership :
- Lead and mentor project team members, including subcontractors and internal staff.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in project management, preferrably with door, trim, and hardware installations.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proven experience managing multi-family residential projects.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
Working Conditions :
- This position may require occasional travel to project sites.
- Work is performed both in an office environment and on construction sites.
