Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) for the Department of Food Science and Nutrition

Position Overview :
The Department of Food Science and Nutrition is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants.
The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester.
Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.
Anticipated Appointment Dates : This position is opened until filled. If you have applied and no other positions are available, you will be notified.
Fall 2024 : August 19, 2024 - December 23, 2024
Spring 2025 : January 15, 2025 - May 23, 2025
Hours : 0-20 hours per week.
Job Duties may include the following, but will be dependent upon the specific course to which the instructional student assistant will be assigned, as well as upon the specific needs of the faculty member in charge of the course :
Provide instructional support to the assigned instructor such as maintaining and submitting students grade records, evaluate student assignment, Canvas management, etc.
Assist the instructor by making copies or scanning documents, and / or other duties as assigned.
Qualifications : Minimum GPA 3.0

Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications :
Preferred Experience : Expertise in a closely related discipline.
