We are seeking an experienced Remote Project Manager for an exciting tenant improvement project.
Job Summary :
The Remote Project Manager will lead a retail tenant improvement project, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of project management experience in the Indianapolis market, specifically in retail and light commercial sectors.
This role will involve minimal travel, with visits to our headquarters twice a year, and will provide opportunities to expand our project portfolio through local client connections.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Management : Lead the retail TI project from inception to completion, coordinating with architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Local Business Development : Utilize existing local connections to generate additional projects, contributing to the growth of our client base.
- Budget Oversight : Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure all work meets company standards and complies with safety regulations.
- Risk Management : Identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Client Liaison : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Reporting : Prepare progress reports for stakeholders, detailing project status, challenges, and next steps.
- Travel Management : Assist with managing other projects across the Midwest, as needed, with support from our travel superintendents and staff.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of project management experience in retail and light commercial construction in the Indianapolis area.
- Proven track record of managing projects successfully and leveraging local connections for business development.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and relevant software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- PMP certification is a plus but not required.
Compensation :
- Base salary : $125,000 - $140,000, depending on experience.
- Performance-based bonuses and additional commission for any projects brought in.
