About The Position

Services provided include (but are not limited to) :

• Assessing patient therapy for appropriateness, incorporating age specific modifications, and clinical interventions to prevent adverse drug events.
• They will also conduct clinical research and other professional development programs.
• He / she will serve as a liaison to other departments at the Cancer and Infusion Center by providing operational support and  educational services for new treatment regimens.
• The Staff Pharmacist in Oncology demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the regulations governing the preparation of intravenous admixtures, chemotherapy, and other sterile products and supervises Pharmacy technicians and other support personnel.
• Provides oversight and participates in maintaining and storing adequate inventory of all medication required for the practice.
• Develop and update department and nursing policies.
• Work with the Oncology team to standardize ordering procedures for chemotherapeutic medications.
