About the Role
As a Heavy Equipment Service Technician , you’ll play a vital role in keeping our customers' heavy equipment running at peak performance. In this hands-on position, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of machinery, delivering top-tier service with expertise, efficiency, and a customer-first mindset. Collaboration is key—you’ll work across departments to ensure every customer’s needs are met with speed and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the shop or field including pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as schedule dictates
- Complete work orders in a timely manner
- Open line of communication with service manager
- Maintain daily truck inspection logs while keeping a clean / orderly truck and work area
- Good written & verbal communication skills needed for daily reporting
- Good computer literacy skills needed for transmitting information via email
Requirements
2-3 year min. of shop / field heavy equipment troubling and repair Technical Certifications or Associate’s DegreeMust have strong understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principlesAbility to work within set time parameters, multi-task, and follow proceduresAbility to work with limited supervision and a certain degree of independent judgementAbility to maintain positive working relationships and professionally manage difficult situationsMust be able to obtain a forklift licenseMust furnish tools suitable for Heavy Equipment repairMust have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to maneuver around / crawl under equipment in order to conduct repairsAbility to work safely in all weather conditionsMust be able to properly lift and handle heavy loads up to 55 lbsAbility to diagnose and trouble-shoot equipment visibly and audiblyBenefits
