As a Field Manager you'll have a vital role, empowering your team members to provide excellent service. You'll monitor performance, coach, train, and lead your team to success.
Here are some of the ways you'll make an impact in this role : - Plan, organize, and direct all operations with respect to installation and repair services.
- Handle or support time reporting, payroll, and on-call or vacation scheduling. - Conduct safety and quality inspections to ensure high quality and safe performance by technicians.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure technician workloads are efficient and enable them to meet our customer commitments.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or service issues, working closely with Field Teams, Care and Sales. - Handle all discipline and make recommendations based on company policies and with the support of HR.
- Partner with the union on contractual related matters. Receives technician grievances and resolves them as appropriate.

- Supervision and management of team of employees, including : leading regular huddles to discuss and direct assignments; overseeing the flow and distribution of inventory and supplies;
- working with dispatch in apportioning work orders amongst crew; ensuring allocation of work; maintaining technician work schedules;
- attendance management; maintaining and reviewing records used to supervise employees, such as work order close out narratives, key metric reports, and time entries;
- identifying potential issues and missed customer- services opportunities from prior days work; providing feedback, training, and coaching to employees;
- ensuring employees exhibit care and proper handling of hardware; evaluating and appraising employee performance; recommending promotions for high-performing employees and discipline for employees who fail to meet expectations;
- interviewing, and gauging the skill level of, potential hires and transfers; handling employee grievances consistent with the collective bargaining agreement at the step one level;
identifying and removing roadblocks to safe and efficient performance by employees; and conducting in-field safety and quality inspections to ensure employees are performing work properly and safely.
Act as single point of contact for virtually all customer escalations.Resolve customer complaints on behalf of company.May work with internal network organizations and external vendors, on the installation and testing network power equipment.
May govern emergency backup power, standard processes, preventive maintenance routines, network power reliability, and responsible for Federal, State, & Local requirements.
Education : Typically, a high school diploma, GED or equivalent related network experience; Technical degree preferred.Experience : Typically, at least 3-5 years of network related technical experience.
Supervisory : Yes.Environmental Requirements : This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function.
This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand- by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
