Reviews and processes employee time cards and adjustment sheets; prepares all reports pertaining to payroll; completes questionnaires and reports on employee earnings;
calculates benefit accruals for full- and part-time employees.
- Reviews employee time cards and attendance sheets for accuracy and completeness; contacts appropriate department concerning missing information.
- Posts time card / adjustment sheet information to employee records.
- Prepares time cards for interface.
- Reviews new hire forms, personnel change forms and terminations received from Human Resources and prepares and processes required documents to record payroll information.
- Contacts Human Resources or department as required regarding missing information.
- Receives and answers inquiries from departments and employees regarding paychecks, deductions, accruals and related matters.
- Prepares and enters manual checks as required, calculating time, deductions, etc. (e.g., for terminations, vacation pay).
- Maintains employee files.
- Prepares payroll summary reports and other reports as required by department.
- Reconciles all reports for outside agencies and organizations (e.g., union, court orders, levies) with payroll run; prepares check requests for amounts due to various agencies.
