Video Design - Engineer - Security Clearance Required

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Attend customer meetings and conduct site surveys
• Ability to translate customer requirements into functional system designs.
• Understand architectural / construction drawings and documentation
• Design and engineer complex audio / video / VTC systems
• Provide floor plans and elevations
• Create engineering, programming and installation labor estimates
• Will not have supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance for integration and / or installation teams
• Audio / Video systems configuration and testing

Hours of coverage :

Individual shift may vary, but you will be a member of a team that provides coverage from 6 : 00 a.m. 6 : 00 p.m.

Security Clearance Requirements :

Current / active TS / SCI with Polygraph.

Basic Qualifications :

• Ability to communicate and interact professionally with colleagues, project stakeholders and the client
• Understanding industry best practices in audio, video and control systems design / integration for conference rooms, operation center watch floors, training rooms, and VIP offices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to assess customer needs, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate customer satisfaction
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to interact with individuals from all levels of the organization
• Basic understanding of IP technologies
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite to include Visio and Power Point
• BA / BS and 7 years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 11+ years.
• Experience with :
• A / V switching systems
• Commercial Audio (understanding of audio theory, signal flow and gain staging)
• DSP technology (including DANTE)
• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
• AVIXA CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred

Physical Requirements :

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Must be able to move / traverse within and between buildings and offices.
• Must be able to position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

Must be able to move Audio / Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts
