Principal Design Engineer

Role Overview : The RF and Analog Design Engineer will join our Client's Broadband Analog group, focusing on the design and validation of high-speed broadband ICs such as Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs), and drivers for Silicon Photonic (SiPho) and discrete Electro-absorption Modulators (EAMs) and Mach-Zehnder Interferometer Modulators (MZMs).
This position involves designing and validating FET and BiCMOS circuits for data center and telecom applications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and validate FET and BiCMOS circuits for high-speed broadband ICs.
- Develop transmission line structures and other millimeter-wave structures.
- Design high-performance broadband analog circuits for optical front-end receivers and other analog circuits.
- Guide and lead a team of designers to implement circuit blocks.
- Collaborate with other functional groups for post-silicon validation, qualification, mass production, and customer support.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with significant experience in high-performance RF / Analog Receiver / TIA design.
- Proven IC design experience including chip tape-out and lab evaluation.
- Proficiency in using EDA CAD tools and performing analog custom layout.
- Deep understanding of transistor-level design, device physics, and control / feedback loop stability analysis.
- Experience in AGC loop design, high precision analog circuits, CTLE design, and package-system integration is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Experience in mentoring junior designers and leading chip projects to mass production.

Compensation Range : Based on experience; $150k to $200K
