Responsibilities :
- Assembles and tests control systems per specifications to fulfill production and service orders on a production schedule
- Assembles and tests developmental or operational motor-control devices (VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, etc.), switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering specifications and knowledge of electrical principles
- Diagnoses cause of electrical malfunction, mechanical malfunction, operational equipment failure then performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical Engineer
- Provide electrical support to Service Department and customers
- Maintain electrical inventory perform inventory transactions and cycle count
- Maintain file management system for electrical control systems
- Perform Electrical Shop housekeeping tasks
- Availability to travel and work overtime if necessary
Requirements :
- Associates or B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
- 2 years working knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, control panels, low and high voltage
- Logical thinker with efficient troubleshooting skills
- Availability to travel and work overtime if necessary
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good people and communication skills
- Able to communicate troubleshooting procedures and solutions to customers and servicemen
- Self-managed
- Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 45 pounds
Desired Qualifications :
- 5 years PLC Programming experience
