Position Summary :
Support Director of Logistics (N4) at National Space Defense Center (NSDC) Logistics Division with functional input and analysis in support of all aspects of NSDC facility and logistics.
Support processes and procedures for MILCON monitoring, facility status, logistics readiness, and support base requirements.
Provide assistance to N4 staff with recurring meetings and data submissions in support of execution. Duty at Schriever SFB, CO
Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsible for developing and creating logistics and facilities material and products in support of NSDC workspaces and equipment.
Assist with planning, development, creation, and completion of affiliated products, submissions, and reports for logistics and facilities processes, Tiger Teams, and working groups.
The position will be part of the Logistics and Readiness Division. The individual will regularly collect, consolidate, organize, draft, and produce materials and publications, as well as coordinate with the customer to establish schedules for current and future activities.
The individual will assist the customer with planning, coordination, briefing and executing support for logistics and facilities activities in support of the NSDC.
The individual will also coordinate with the customer to complete related tasks in accordance with customer directives. Applicants must be self-motivated, team-oriented, able to adapt to dynamic environments, and willing to work with personnel from other organizations and companies.
Shall assist with the following :
- Support the National Space Defense Center facilities and logistics programs and all other Logistics and Readiness Division (N4) activities as assigned.
- Assist the USG with planning, coordinating, authoring, briefing, and executing support for facilities and logistics activities.
- Attend coordination and planning meetings and conduct review of programs, desired objectives, and participant supporting capabilities.
- Coordinate with and assist NSDC directorates and other supporting organizations during requirements development and review.
- Plan for and coordinate facility and logistics asset use with capability owners, partner organizations, process owners, and associated stakeholders.
- Maintain awareness of proper use and function of facilities and logistics resources.
- Provide briefings and presentations to counterparts, process owners, and leadership. Prepare correspondence, documents, and other written material.
- Perform additional supporting duties as required or identified.
Basic Qualifications and Skills Requirements :
Requirements :
- Active Top Secret clearance required. Willingness to submit to counter-intelligence polygraph required.
- Bachelors Degree required. Bachelors Degree in STEM area highly desired. Masters Degree highly desired. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to speak in public and write effectively required.
- Ability to operate independently and manage team elements to meet contract requirements required.
- Experience leading diverse teams and personnel of varying experience levels and skill sets required.
- 15+ years of experience in performing related tasks in military units preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel (less than 10% estimate).
Preferred Qualifications and Skill Requirements :
- Corresponding staff experience in one or more of the following : major service component, Combatant Command, Air Force Major Command, Service Component, Combined Forces Space Component Command, Space Forces Space, and / or Joint Staff is highly desired.
- Graduate of JPME Phase II and / or graduate of Senior Service School is desired.
- Graduated Mission Support Group commander or MSG deputy commander is desired.
- Graduated squadron commander and / or operations officer experience, MAJCOM branch chief (or higher) experience is desired.
- Experience in Air Force logistics or civil engineer specialty code (e.g., 30C0, 21R, 32E, 2RXXX, 2GXXX, 2SXXX, 3EXXX) is desired.
- Experience in one or more of the following : Configuration Management, IT / Data Centers, Continuity of Operations, Resiliency Projects, Retail Support to Space Enterprise, Plans / Doctrine, Mission Assurance, General Budget Programming, Base-Level processes, and / or Late-Stage MILCON is highly desired.
- Familiarity with military operations, personnel, regulations, and organizations is desired.
- Familiarity with Air Force Installation Management, MILCON, facilities, and logistics programs is desired.
- Familiarity with Space Situational Awareness / Space Domain Awareness / Space Command and Control systems and operating concepts experience is desired.
- Combatant command, service component HQ, and / or major command staff experience is highly desired. Combined Forces Space Component Command experience desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software suite preferred
Basic Compensation :
Salary Range : 140-160K
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and / or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation :
