DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICSThe Registered Nurse-Public Health performs the full range of professional public health nursing duties.
Incumbents are expected to work at the full scope of their licensure with a decreasing amount of supervision commensurate with their experience.
This class differs from the Senior Registered Nurse-Public Health in that the latter is considered the advanced journey level in the series and may require specialized training and / or clinical supervision of staff.
NOTE : Public Health's hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.WHAT WE OFFERThe County of Ventura offers an attractive compensation and benefits package, subject to eligibility requirements, that includes but not limited to : Educational / Bilingual Incentive : Some positions may be eligible for educational incentive.
This incentive may be 2.5%, 3.5%, or 5% for incumbents in eligible positions based on completion of an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree that is not required for the classification.
Incumbents may also be eligible for bilingual incentive depending upon operational need and certification of skill.Certification Pay : $0.
813 per hour based on scheduled work week hours for each qualified certification up to a maximum of five (5) certifications.
One of the five certifications may be eligible to be paid at $2.00 per hour for a National Certification. List provided in the MOA, Exhibit 9.
Weekend Shift Differential : $2.00 per hourContinuous County Service Incentive Pay : 1% for 7 years, 1.25% for 12 years and 1.
