About The Role
Our company is growing rapidly and we are looking for talented leaders to join our agile, world-class team. Responsible for the technology infrastructure and services of the company (i.
e., institutional IT) to achieve business goals, minimize security risks, increase user satisfaction, and maintain operations and systems.
Also responsible for enterprise software platforms, administration of such, and integration across functional teams. Leads the implementation of projects and initiatives and for developing new technical solutions that are responsive to the company’s objectives.
About The Work

- Directly supervise, train and support IT and Enterprise Services staff
- Handle employees’ concerns and help guide their job performance
- Coordinate and oversee staff’s day to day responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive IT security, privacy and risk management programs including the establishment of policies, training, and other best practices and enterprise software solutions
- Facilitate IT security audits or investigations
- Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
- Develop security measures to protect computer networks from unauthorized access, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software
- Manage budgets and expenditures to ensure that projects are completed within time and budget constraints
- Lead team who provides technical support to end users regarding the use of computer applications or hardware products
- Support engineering systems including high performance computer cluster, HIL compute systems, data archival
- Support compute resources for employees both remote and on-site
- Manage user access control to all cloud services
- Identify and eliminate security risks
- Design and implement IT strategies and infrastructure
- Oversee IT manager / process on help desk
- Oversee IT training during onboarding
- Ensure strategic capacity planning
- Coordinate IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary
- Support a mixed environment that includes Windows / Mac / Linux
- Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems
- Meet and collaborate with all levels of staff and other departments as necessary
- Manage documentation and functional redundancy, as well as disaster planning
- Foster a cooperative, friendly working relationship between IT & ES personnel and all customers
- Able to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
About You
- B.S. in information technology, information systems, computer science or a related field
- At least 8 years of direct IT operations experience with at least 4 years of IT management experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Project management experience
- Strategic thinker and problem solver
- Ability to function in an engineering-focused company
- Support desktop users on Windows / Mac / Linux platforms
- Willingness to relocate to Oregon or travel as needed to company sites
- Authorization to work in the USA
