Location : - Mc Lean, VA (Day 1 Onsite - 3 Days onsite 2 days Remote)

Migration exp. needed from PostgreSQL to Sybase.
Job Description :
At least 5 years of experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration on Linux including :
oInstallation, configuration, and maintenance
oPerformance troubleshooting and database tuning
oReplication and high availability
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL / pgSQL and ability to analyze / debug stored procedures, functions & triggers.
- Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels
- Experience with database migration, preferably from Sybase to Postgres is desirable.
- Experience with Postgres Client interface drivers and installation
- Strong Unix / Linux knowledge and experience in Unix Shell scripting, Python programming is desirable.
