We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Woburn, MA . In this role, you will play a key part in leading bridge rating assignments and overseeing engineering tasks related to the MassDOT Small Bridge Program.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in structural engineering, a passion for mentoring early career professionals, and a strong background in bridge inspections and technical reviews.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering components of bridge rating assignments.
- Oversee engineering for the MassDOT Small Bridge Program assignments.
- Mentor and provide guidance to early career professionals.
- Conduct field observations and inspections of bridges to ensure compliance with safety and design standards.
- Review the technical work of staff engineers and collaborate closely with Quality Control (QC) staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Interface directly with the Project Manager to ensure project alignment with client expectations and timelines.
- Collaborate with Task Managers to ensure project milestones are achieved and resources are allocated effectively.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a concentration in structural engineering.
- Requires 5-10 years of bridge design experience.
- Massachusetts P.E. license required (or ability to gain reciprocity within 6-months).
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and AASHTO Bridge Rating / Bridge Design preferred.
- Strong technical and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proven success in leading the technical design of bridge and structural projects.
- Track record of mentoring and training early career professionals.
- Extensive experience with DOT (Department of Transportation) design projects.
