Phoenix Rising Recovery & Oasis Behavioral Health is currently looking for a Clinical Director! This is a full time position located in the Palm Desert Area.
Job Duties : (including but not limited to)
- Responsible for the oversight, supervision and quality assurance of all clinical services including both record keeping and direct services;
- In conjunction with the Program Director ensure adherence to the required HIPPA and documentation requirements as identified by county, state and federal regulatory agencies;
- Support the CEO in program development.
- Ensure clinical services are in compliance with county, state and federal regulatory agencies;
- Provide and / or coordinate clinical trainings for all clinical and program staff on clinical topics relevant to client services provided by The Company;
- Provide appropriate medical direction and overall supervision of the medical aspects of the service program and shall ensure that those duties and responsibilities are not relinquished before a new or temporary replacement is functioning in that capacity.
- Develop and maintain liaisons between the service, other physicians, physician designees, hospitals, and the medical community served by the service program.
- Recruit, train and evaluate MFT and MSW students from various graduate schools on an annual basis;
- Act as a liaison for graduate schools' intern placement programs;
- Responsible for the provision of clinical supervision for all unlicensed and non-independently licensed clinical staff in compliance with the standards of county, state and federal regulatory agencies;
- Provide and / or coordinate clinical trainings for all clinical and program staff on clinical topics relevant to client services provided by The Company;
- Review treatment plans, case notes and written correspondence in order to verify that such documents meet county, state and federal agency standards;
- In collaboration with the Executive Director oversee the audit of the clinical charts to insure adherence to county, state and federal statutes;
- Develop, implement and evaluate clinical operations;
- Collaborate with Executive Director and management staff in development of policies and procedures relating to The Company;
- Facilitate team meetings on a weekly basis to ensure coordinated implementation of treatment plans and service utilization such that the comprehensive care of clients reflects the philosophy of objectives of The Company;
- Participate on the Process and Quality Improvement Committee;
- Act a liaison with other community providers and agencies serving clients as needed;
- Evaluate all Clinical staff annually;
- Participate in the "On Call" rotation;
- Assist and work with the CEO & CFO regarding strategic and long-range planning as needed
- Be available for individual evaluation and consultation to service program personnel;
- Review the patient care provided by service program personnel and remedying any deficiencies or potential deficiencies that may be identified regarding medical knowledge or skill performance.
- Current course completions / certifications / endorsements as may be required by the state or federal.
- Organize and coordinate physician services and services provided by other professionals as they relate to patient care.
- Organize, coordinate and monitor the activities of the clinical staff and ensures that the quality and appropriateness of services meets community standards.
- Make summary decisions when admissions, orders, and / or transfers are considered inappropriate.
- Ensure smooth collaboration and communication with outside physicians and health professionals.
- Serve as a liaison to the medical / professional staff to ensure matters of clinical importance are conveyed to the Program Director and governing body.
- Submit reports to governing body and Executive Director that outlines clinical affairs including unusual occurrences.
- Ensures treatment planning is clinically appropriate and comprehensive.
- Develops and implements a peer review system that monitors professional practice.
- Team with Executive Director to ensure Clinical Quality Assurance for all treatment programs.
- Work to ensure staff is aware and compliant with new federal healthcare regulations and requirements.
- Ensures ongoing program excellence for all treatment programs.
- Act as Administrator for the MH RTC.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience :
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field;
- LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or equivalent
- Minimum 1 years' experience overseeing a Residential and / or Outpatient Substance Use / Mental Health Treatment program
- Clinical Supervision ability

- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
- Current independent licensure in the State of California approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.
Hiring Requirements :
Hiring is contingent upon completion of a Background Check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
Current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
For the mental health and eating disorder programs additional requirements include receiving DOJ / FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption and a submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508).
Must have a clean background.
