Additional Information : Redmond High School is looking for qualified candidates for a Dean of Students position. This is a full-time contracted position beginning 08 / 01 / 2024 and continuing through the end of the school year.
Lake Washington School District is seeking a highly qualified certificated educator to serve as a Dean of Students. The Dean of Students works under the direction of the principal.
The successful candidate will provide support to the school administrative team in carrying out the school’s academic, social-emotional and behavioral program.
The Dean of Students position requires knowledge of District procedures and policies, the ability to assume responsibility, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and is able to maintain confidentiality. The Dean of Students provides student and school supervision, communication to key stakeholders, and other school supports to ensure effective and efficient school operations.
Travel Requirements : Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. This position is open until filled with first consideration given to applications submitted by 06 / 07 / 2024. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Current Washington State teaching certificate (i.e. Continuing, Residency, or Professional)
- Successful classroom teaching experience, three years minimum
- Successful supervision of individual and groups of students
- Successful interventions for student behavioral, social, and emotional challenges
- Commitment to the mission and vision for all students Salary : Paid per teacher salary schedule, plus 21 extra days and stipend.
