This position is for a Portfolio Manager with State Street’s Investment Solutions Group (ISG), our multi-asset class investment team.
For more than three decades, ISG has developed asset class-spanning products and services aimed at helping our clients realize their diverse goals.
Our team is global with offices in Boston, London, Sydney and 7 other investment centers around the world. We value people who are highly self-motivated with the ability to execute independently but who are equally able to collaborate and work well in a team.
The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the daily management of portfolios; effectuating portfolio trades, managing cash flow needs and monitoring and maintaining portfolio positioning for ISG clients.
The position requires the ability to handle complex portfolios including custom strategic and tactical multi-asset portfolios and derivative based overlay solutions.
This role requires the person to be a great teammate with strong communication, analytical and collaborative skills, a willingness to be measured on performance and a desire to help build and grow a business.
The successful candidate will have hands on experience with the investment process, preferably with experience in portfolio trading and portfolio management.
Responsibilities and expectations :
Manage client cash flows and portfolio rebalancing by executing portfolio transactions
Conduct portfolio analysis to consider appropriate position sizing and risk budgeting given client risk tolerance and current positioning
Perform analysis for the construction and management of liability based hedging and other derivative based solutions
Contribute to the market positioning process to provide input on market conditions and appropriate portfolio tilting, positioning, and risk management decisions
Provide oversight of positions in client portfolios to ensure investment objectives are met
Communicate with internal and external investment teams to support delivering on performance objectives and integrating new business opportunities
Position Requirements :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the investment banking or investment management industry
CFA or working towards a plus
Experience across asset classes
Experience with derivatives in a portfolio context and lifecycle management
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, detail oriented
Able to lead and prioritize multiple projects
Strong communication and decision making skills
Able to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties
Thrives in a dynamic business building environment with changing priorities
Effective team player with a positive attitude
