Schedule Night shift; 36 hours per week. Job Description The Respiratory Therapist ensures that respiratory therapy services, including evaluation and treatment of patients, are rendered in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. The therapist will serve inpatients, outpatients, UHS staff, and affiliated community groups as needed. Responsibilities Administers respiratory therapy procedures as directed. Performs Aerosol Therapy treatments and secretion mobilization therapy. Manages BiPAP-CPAP therapy and alarms. Performs pulmonary function screening and various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Records and reports the results of all procedures accurately. Maintains patient healthcare information systems and medication administration programs. Collaborates with emergency response for BLS in adult, pediatric, and neonatal cases. Participates in departmental in-service programs and other assigned duties. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy. New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License. Registered by the NBRC as a Respiratory Therapist. BLS and ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent. 1 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
