Responsibilities

This is a soon to be grand opening of our newest department within PRMC. Excellent pay, fantastic benefits, sign-on bonus and an opportunity to work in a new state of the art labor and delivery department.

Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities.

With the recent addition of the Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department.

The Center for Wound Care provides treatment for people with chronic non-healing wounds. This comprehensive wound-healing service includes hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Palmdale Regional Medical Center is active in the community and regularly participates with the Antelope Valley Board of Trade, Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance, Chambers of Commerce and other civic and governmental groups.

Essential Job Duties :

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.

The concepts of Patient C entered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

One to two years full time experience in Labor and Delivery setting.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS :

• BLS and AC LS (current on hire)
• Current state nursing license
• PALS or NRP (current or obtained within 90 days of employment) in required specialty
• CPI required within 30 days of hire
