About The Position
- Job Title : Electrophysiology Technologist Job Specialty : Electrophysiology (EP) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 40 hours per week schedule, day / evenings, Monday-Friday 0630-1700 with late shift and on-call responsibilities Guaranteed Hours : 36 Experience : Minimum of 2 years of Electrophysiology Technologist work experience in a dedicated Electrophysiology Laboratory;
- strong EP ablation experience required; experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital preferred;
- prior traveling experience highly preferred License : Must have a permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of location Certifications : Basic Life Support / CPR Certification (American Heart Association only);
ACLS certification (American Heart Association only) Must-Have : - Basic Arrhythmia experience - Ability to pass the Telemetry test prior to clearance for start - Two completed references from recent work environment / assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years) Job Description : - Perform pediatric, adolescent, and adult diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures - Function independently as an expert technologist in EP - Oversee technical operations required for the performance of routine diagnostic through advanced interventional electrophysiology procedures - Assist EP physicians with complex procedures - Educate and train staff within the department - Potential to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age based on competency skills / experience - Shifts may be scheduled in multiple units depending on staffing needs and / or different locations within the organization - In case the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be reassigned to another unit to complete the contract
