The Maintenance Engineer at Holiday Inn Boston - Bunker Hill Area in Somerville, Massachusetts plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the hotel's facilities and equipment.
This position requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to quickly respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Responsibilities :
- Perform regular inspections of the hotel's facilities and equipment to identify any maintenance needs or issues.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance and ensure their satisfaction with the resolution.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
Requirements :
- Prior experience in a similar maintenance role is preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and facilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
