QSE7, a Pennsylvania-based life sciences consulting company, is seeking to hire or contract a high-aptitude individual to provide project management services to a consumer healthcare client in Fort Washington, PA.
Typical projects will pertain to the development and scale-up of new OTC medicines and will involve implementation, qualification and validation of processing and packaging equipment.
Project management responsibilities will include scope definition, stakeholder alignment, project planning, resource and risk management, project leadership, team development, project organization and communication, metrics and reporting.
This position requires 50% on-site work in a manufacturing / packaging shop floor setting in Fort Washington, PA.
Detailed Job Responsibilities
As a project manager, you will be responsible for
- Developing and maintaining project plans, inclusive of all critical milestones, key interdependencies, financial commitments, and resource constraints
- Delivering business results by driving project plans to closure
- Monitoring project status, maintaining project dashboards and reporting timely updates to senior leadership
- Coordinating project status meetings, developing agendas, facilitating discussions, documenting meeting minutes and publishing performance metrics
- Delivering transparent, timely and effective verbal and written communications to team members, project stakeholders and senior management
- Proactively identifying and escalating risks to project stakeholders, and defining / executing effective mitigation and contingency strategies
- Leading cross-functional teams, in a matrix environment
- Estimating project costs and maintaining monthly project financials
- Participating in the change control process, including identifying / collecting required deliverables
- Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met and resolving project deviations
- Partnering with the Planning organization to coordinate project team activities while minimizing impact to commercial base business operations
- Influencing others beyond own scope and level
- Leading communications with all stakeholder levels to enable informed decision making
- Driving team accountability to ensure timely execution of work and high-quality deliverables
- Making the complex simple when presenting opportunities and plans to the team and organization
- Leading teams thorough options analysis and driving recommendations
- Leading "lessons learned" and best practices sessions
Required Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Science, Mathematics / Statistics, or Industrial Engineering
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant business experience in a GMP environment, with a minimum of three (3) years of increasing responsibility in the over-the-counter (OTC) consumer products and / or pharmaceutical industries
- Excellent oral, written, presentation communication skills
- Proven record of leading teams and delivering results
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Experience with MS Project
- Demonstrated enterprise-wide knowledge and experience leading / motivating cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
Preferred Experience / Qualifications
- PMP Certification
- Demonstrated leadership & influencing skills across various organizational levels
Travel Requirements
50% of project work will be executed on-site at a client facility in Fort Washington, PA; 50% will be executed from home office.
