A Brief Overview
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients / families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Qualifications
10 Smythe is a Acute Care / Telemetry 24 bed unit that provides care and services to patients who are admitted for a variety of reasons.
The primary focus is Pulmonary, Renal, Urology, and Neurology. 10 Smythe is the designated stroke unit, as well as the unit that manages patients on peritoneal dialysis.
Support roles have been incorporated including patient liaison and mobility technician to assist alongside our RN, LPN, PCNA, and Administrative Assistants.
Education Qualifications
Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing or
ADN) Associate’s Degree in Nursing Required
BSN) Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred
MSN) Master’s Degree in Nursing Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.

Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required During Orientation
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
