Senior Preconstruction Manager

This opportunity is with a well-established, larger general contractor organization operating in the light industrial space but are continuing to expand and will eventually grow their reach. The company is recognized for its commitment to quality and delivering exceptional results for clients.

Job Description

Lead preconstruction efforts for assigned projects, including budgeting, cost estimating, and scheduling. Collaborate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Develop and maintain cost models to support project planning and decision-making. Prepare and present preconstruction reports to stakeholders, providing detailed insights and recommendations. Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs and efficiency without compromising quality. Assist in prequalification and selection of subcontractors and vendors. Ensure compliance with all company policies, client requirements, and industry standards. Support the transition from preconstruction to construction, ensuring a seamless handoff to the project team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Preconstruction Manager should have :

  • A strong background in preconstruction management within the property and construction industry.
  • Experience with cost estimating, budgeting, and scheduling for large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in construction software and tools, including estimating and scheduling platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
