Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Grand Island, NE. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of 8 buildings on our property. The ideal candidate will take pride in keeping facilities and grounds in excellent condition while providing reliable support to our staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial services including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.
- Maintain grounds by mowing, trimming, watering, and caring for lawns, landscaping, and outdoor areas.
- Complete light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and upkeep of common areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
- Maintain and operate cleaning and landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance such as snow removal and de-icing walkways.
- Report maintenance issues, needed repairs, and supply inventory to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety standards and procedures.
