Our Client is seeking applications for a Business Lead / Senior Environmental Project Manager to join their Cincinnati office.

Our Client is an established environmental consulting and engineering firm known for its commitment to delivering innovative and high-quality services.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team of EHS professionals and drive growth while managing key client relationships across the Tri-State region and nationally.

Position Overview

Our Client is looking for an entrepreneurial and proactive environmental professional with a growth mindset to fill the role of Senior Environmental Project Manager / Business Lead.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and leading a team, managing local and regional clients, and supporting business development efforts.

This position involves both strategic leadership and hands-on project management, ensuring high-quality service delivery to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Business Lead for the Cincinnati office.
  • Drive business development efforts in the Cincinnati / Tri-State region.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to advance local, regional, and corporate objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans for the office.
  • Review, prepare, and execute technical project and work plans.
  • Provide project management oversight and direct site investigation activities.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and documentation.
  • Mentor and support mid- and junior-level staff.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience, including managing offices, teams, and large projects.
  • Strong client and account management skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of environmental legislation such as CERCLA, RCRA, EPCRA, and CWA.
  • Excellent consulting, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to travel periodically, including overnight stays.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience managing state, municipal, and federal contracts / projects.
  • Business development and marketing experience, particularly in the greater Cincinnati area (Midwest).
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Experience with emerging contaminants, such as PFAS.
  • Ohio PE license or other relevant registrations / certifications.
  • Certified Professional in the Ohio Voluntary Action Program (VAP).
  • Experience with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
