CNC Setup Technician

Location : Los Alamitos, CA

Hours : Mon-Fri 7 am-3 : 30pm

We are urgently looking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Setup Technician to support our machining operations. This role is critical to ensuring that CNC mills and lathes are properly configured for production runs, with a focus on precision, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities :

Set up CNC mills and lathes according to job specifications and engineering drawings

Install and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for optimal machining performance

Load and verify CNC programs; perform dry runs and first-article inspections

Adjust machine parameters and offsets to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish

Collaborate with CNC programmers and machinists to troubleshoot setup issues

Maintain setup documentation, tooling lists, and machine logs

Perform routine maintenance checks and report equipment issues

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and aerospace quality standards

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred

3+ years of experience in CNC machine setup (mill and lathe)

Familiarity with aerospace materials such as titanium, aluminum, and composites

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and setup sheets

Strong understanding of tooling, fixturing, and machine operation

Experience with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens)

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
