DUTIES
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Participates in and provides clinical care to patients through interview and observation, evaluation and assessment, intervention, planning and written documentation during their visit at the Infusion Center.
- Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations.
- Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients.
- Performs daily patient rounds.
- Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
- Interprets laboratory and test results.
- Confers with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and / or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
Requirements :
- PA - Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, minimum Bachelor’s degree required
- NP - Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, current RN license and current AANP or ANCC certification
Experience
Minimum of two years experience as an APP in a physician practice or ambulatory environment preferred.
Certification :
- Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner certification (AANP or ANCC certification)
- BLS / ACLS / AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations :
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross - BLS / ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program
- No online programs from any organization will be accepted.
- DEA registration required for those with discharge responsibilities.
Salary Range
USD - USD / Hr.
