Job : Production Supervisor, Packaging (Night Shift)

Easy Foods is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our business!

The Production Supervisor leads a team of cross-functional hourly associates on their shift within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This supervisor will coordinate the short-term activities of this area within established guidelines and standards to produce the highest quality, lowest cost product in the safest and most efficient manner.

They will facilitate teams in his / her area of responsibility and conduct or coordinate the necessary training for the associates reporting to them.

This supervisor will implement and enforce established policies and strategies.

Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role.

Principal Accountabilities :

• Supervise the efforts of their team on shift, to ensure the efficient conversion of materials into quality products in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner within the product design specifications, while also meeting strict efficiency targets and KPIs
• Change Agent - Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment, systems, and organization, as needed, to ensure that the objectives of the line / area are met.
• Associate Advocacy - Manage associate relations issues and guide and direct the hiring, training, retraining, development, and motivation of Operations associates following self-managed, team-working principles with a minimum degree of guidance from the Shift Manager.
• Goal Setting and Measurement - Meet line / area performance standards and goals, and measure, control, take corrective action, and report results as appropriate.
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis The Supervisor utilizes the technical resources on shift for the preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of process / packaging equipment problems, to effectively use these resources to achieve desired performance levels and continuously improve their own knowledge of equipment and process.

The supervisor is expected to become an Area Expert regarding all processes and all equipment under their supervision.

• Communications - Ensure that open communications are established and opportunities to broaden the scope and responsibility of Operations teams / associates are undertaken.
• Operations Strategy - Participate with the Director of Operations and Shift Manager in the implementation of improvement strategies that will help the line / area perform more effectively in the near term.
• Associate Development - Evaluate Associate performance and develop, in conjunction with associate's plans, to challenge their potential.
• Personal Development - Keep abreast of the managerial and technical competencies.
• Lean Manufacturing - TPM - Total Productive Maintenance
• Proven track record of coaching associates

Minimum Qualifications :

• An undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in one of the Engineering, basic sciences or business-related disciplines preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) years experience in a production environment.
• Two (2) years experience in a leadership role.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SQF.
• Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely.
• Understanding of major functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with all levels and functions.
• Successful completion of a drug and background screen

Preferred Qualifications :

• Demonstrated experience working with and leading large teams within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with SAP, ADP
• Demonstrated experience within Lean / TPM / Continuous Improvement
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a food production environment.
• Minimum Three (3) years in a production environment.
• Minimum Three (3) years in a salaried leadership role with direct reports >

25 headcount.

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Higher
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, Reports, Internet software, e-mail.
• Ability to work any shift as needed.
• Ability to tolerate an ambiguous environment.
• Functional knowledge and understanding of HACCP concepts.
• Experience in plant sanitation practices and procedures.
• Bilingual - Ability to communicate clearly in Spanish

Compensation :

• Pay based on experience.
• Annual bonus payout (10% Target Based on Performance)
• Annual merit increases
