Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Yuma, Arizona.

null START DATE : 11 / 25 Department : Labor and Delivery Radius Rule : 100 miles Start dates are not flexible. SUBMISSION PROFILE REQUIREMENTS - Must be in the profile or cannot move forward with submittal.
- Start Date Must match the next available start date, include in attached profile / resume
- EPIC experience required. Ensure it is accurate (there have been inconsistencies on the resume versus the cover page)
- EMR listed on each work assignment
- Time Off- Ensure dates make sense for the required start date and are 5 days or less.
- Include within the attached profile / resume. All RTO needs to be in at time of submission.
- Resume- Ensure resume information is accurate (there’s been an increase in inaccurate information sent).
- MUST INCLUDE : detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, and trauma level (if applicable) for each hospital.
- Explain any employment gaps upon submission and include in attached profile / resume.
- Certifications- Make sure certs are accurate and up to date. License- Active and in hand - AZ or Compact- Ensure it's accurate - # of L&D Beds : 9 - # of OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections : 2 - # of Triage beds : 7 - # of Births per day : Average 9 / day, 250 a month, 3000 per year.
- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios : Try to follow 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, 2 patients is pretty common. - Required Certifications : BLS, NRP, AWOHNN-Intermediate or Advanced.
- Common diagnoses / Types of patients : 28 weeks and above, lot of HTN, 7-10% no prenatal care, high Spanish speaking, tele monitoring.
Spanish speaking would be great. - Experience : Must be able to do a vaginal exam (if come from teaching facility-they have less skill since medical students / residents do these).
Scalp electrodes, Circulate a C-section, Newborn transitions, Assist anesthesiology, IV starts, Blood draws, APGARS assignments-must know, Postpartum hemorrhage control- SIM lab coming-fall 2023, Epidurals, Amnio infusion.
Water birth-not a must have, just for knowledge. Preferred : experience with spinning babies. - Are RNs required to titrate drips : Magnesium, Pitocin, insulin, blood.
- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? : Yes, free charge. - Are there nurse aids / surgical techs on this unit : OB Techs.
- OB / Neonatologist in house 24 / 7 : Yes - RT Equipment : BVM-neonates; T-Piece resuscitator. - Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit : Tele on unit- cardiac monitor tech on adult side of hospital- OB RNs do not need to read tele.
Charge and relief charges and some core have ACLS. - EFM System : CPN centricity. - Shifts & Scheduling : 6 : 45-7 : 15am / pm.
Weekend Requirements : 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule. Noc : Fri / Sat. Day : Sat / Sun. - Holiday Requirements : Typically 2 / 3 holidays, includes eve / day of.
Will be On-Call-as much as you like, not mandatory. Please note in interview notes traveler agrees to holiday requirements (will be assigned 2 out of 3 holidays within contract, holidays are considered the eve / day of).
- Is there a call or standby requirement : Low Census On Call. - Floating Requirements : NICU / Peds / Womens as well as MedSurg or ICU with appropriate patient assignment- downgraded, or RDU.
- Scrub Color : Provided hospital scrubs. - How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation : One NEO, one clinical ed / EPIC, one day floor.
