Primary Purpose
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Technical Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of our unified clinical data platform, ensuring seamless integration across our eClinical products and driving innovation in clinical data management and analysis with our new GenAI capabilities.
You will lead the strategy and development of our clinical data platform, working with a cross-functional team of architects, application engineers, data engineers, and AI / ML engineers to support the growth of our eClinical product suite (EDC, eCOA / ePRO, RTSM, sample management, reporting) and new GenAI powered solutions for study digitization and document authoring.
Responsibilities
Define requirements for data-driven software products supporting better analytics, AI, monitoring, and reporting for clinical trials
Understanding of data integration, ETL processes, data modeling and querying techniques, and data pipeline creation and management
Lead large-scale data infrastructure or platform products in a fast-paced environment
Work closely with engineering teams on platform infrastructure, microservices, APIs, and data processing pipelines
Interact with customers and internal product teams daily, so that you can validate product ideas / requirements and prototypes
Define key success metrics
Data governance experience
Prioritize requirements based on business value, return on investment, and department strategic goals
Develop acceptance criteria for product requirements.
Define data sources and flows, working closely with data engineering team
Plan product releases based on team velocity and business needs.
Participate in regular meetings such as planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Provide clarification on requirements and acceptance criteria to the development team
Evangelize product within and outside Emmes.
Perform and / or coordinate secondary tasks such as communications, advertising, and development of training materials and / or user guides.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in public health, clinical, science, technology, or related discipline.
Incumbent typically will possess at least 2 years of product management experience or 5 years of experience working as part of a software development or implementation team in any role.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Previous clinical research experience in the life science space preferred (preferably in Data Management, Clinical Operations, or Data & Analytics)
AI & ML-based software development
Experience with integration of large data sources / datasets
Understanding of clinical trial data preferred
Experience with end-to-end data manipulation (e.g. ingestion of large files, different data structures across various data sources, data transformation, etc.)
Knowledge of key concepts related to software product management is required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, proactive and detail oriented.
Experience working in a Scrum team is preferred.
CSPO and / or CSM certification is preferred.
Experience with drawing tools and UX design is preferred.
Experience working in clinical research or healthcare domain is preferred.
Experience conducting software demos and marketing presentations is preferred.
A degree in public health, science, or a computer-related field is preferred.
Working knowledge of browser debugging tools is preferred.
