Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include :
- Maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, plumbing, and electrical and mechanical systems.
- Some carpentry work and mechanical metal work on machines
- Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment
- Repair of handheld electrical production tools and air hand tools
- Respond to and fix any employee’s minor repair requests in office and plant.
- Maintenance of high-pressure hydraulic equipment
- Maintenance and repair of forklifts
- Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well maintained
Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with :
- 3 years of experience in facility maintenance
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory, including the use of meters, understanding voltage, phases, and resistance
- Good electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience in plumbing, carpentry, wiring, and machining preferred
- Must know how to use a pipe bender, pipe / tube cutter, and threaders.
- Ability to accurately read various types of gauges and meters.
- Basic welding machine and MIG feeder repair skills
- Experience using CMMS
- Familiar with lock out, tag out procedures
- Must be a champion of safety
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
