Job Description :

Staff Accountant Full-time Hybrid in Baltimore, MD $75,000 - $85,000

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This individual will support several centralized teams within our organization by providing essential accounting, reporting, and analytical expertise.

Success in this position requires a proactive mindset, a positive attitude, and a readiness to embrace challenges. We are looking for individuals who can approach problem-solving independently and take initiative without constant supervision.

An understanding of general ledger accounting, strong Excel skills, and a keen attention to detail are essential. You will be responsible for :

• Managing the full accounting cycle for one or more entities within the organization.
• Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for affiliated entities.
• Performing reconciliations for balance sheets, intercompany accounts, and bank accounts.
• Handling revenue and expense allocations and preparing journal entries.
• Overseeing invoice preparation and coding reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Supporting ad hoc projects related to accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Taking on additional responsibilities and special projects as needed.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications :

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with NetSuite, Concur, and Coupa is a plus, but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and shift priorities in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a high degree of flexibility in a dynamic workplace.
• A willingness to take on a variety of tasks, regardless of their size or complexity.
• A curious mindset with a passion for improving processes and workflows.
