KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage a team of professionals delivering financial management advisory services to Federal government clients
  • Provide subject matter technical knowledge in financial management areas of financial reporting, internal controls, and / or financial business systems
  • Review and evaluate financial risk, financial reporting, and accounting transactions processes including controls related to federal entities
  • Analyze data, financial information, and system outputs and determine their effect on business processes, controls and accounting treatment
  • Identify financial data and system issues related to posting logic, USSGL compliance, data management, and processes
  • Generate reports and visualizations, perform reconciliations, cleanse data, and perform complex accounting analysis of financial data
  • Manage across the project lifecycle including assisting with scope definition, business case development, vendor assessment, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, testing, training, and implementation phases

Qualifications :

  • A minimum of five years of federal financial management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college / university;

CPA, CGFM, CDFM certifications preferred

  • Experience in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements for Federal government entities
  • Experience with Data Querying, Analytics, Visualization, or RPA tools ( SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Python, UiPath, etc.)
  • Experience in leading project engagements, staff development, internal financial controls, business process analysis, and financial business systems
  • Strong understanding of business processes, project management methodologies, and leading financial practices
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
  • citizenship required and an active Federal government TS / SCI + Poly security clearance
