Responsibilities
- This position reports to, receives tasking and overall guidance from the Employee Relations Branch Chief, in CA / EX / HRD, in coordination with the COR.
- Works with Employee Relations (ER) Branch Chief and other ER team members to track data related to the variety of work performed by the branch including but not limited to : awards, remote work agreements (RWAs), domestic employees teleworking overseas (DETOS), ER cases, leave request cases, etc.
Spreadsheets must be updated regularly and accurate at all times.
- Assists the Bureau Awards Coordinator with all tasks related to certificates including but not limited to : ordering and picking up printed certificates from HST, sorting by office, signing, placing in the appropriate folder, shipping, delivering to local offices, and assisting with Awards Receptions.
- Receives training for GEMS to initiate personnel actions.
- As applicable and appropriate, assists the Division in various administrative tasks and function areas, including preparing Visitors Access Requests (VARs), escorting visitors / other personnel, ordering supplies / maintaining a supply inventory, general office logistics, receiving and screening telephone calls and visitors and other special administrative support as required.
- Handling incoming / outgoing mail correspondence, including distributing correspondence to appropriate individuals.
- Ensures automation equipment is operational (paper in the copier / fax machine, changes out printer ink cartridges, calls in work orders).
- Serving as a time and attendance administrator for CA / EX / HRD. Duties include entering, tracking and maintaining direct-hire time and attendance reports in the absence of Office Administrator.
- Establishing and maintaining official files on specific subject matters, including payroll.
- Maintains a professional manner at all times (work area must be clean, presentable, and organized, per COR guidance).
- Ability to independently follow-up on assignments to ensure any necessary action(s) is(are) initiated, and subsequently works to assure that such action(s) is(are) completed as quickly as possible, as applicable and appropriate.
Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen who can possess or be able to obtain / maintain a minimum SECRET clearance.
- Active Secret clearance preferred.
- Must have a High School Diploma and at least one (1) year of job-related experience or equivalent.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to interface with program personnel at all levels.
- Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of office policies, practices, and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and direction.
Pay Range
$38.79-$40.50
