Job Overview :
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, building and managing relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and other stakeholders within their assigned region.
This role involves the strategic development and execution of sales initiatives to increase market share, maximize revenue, and meet company sales goals within the candy industry.
Responsibilities :
1. Sales Strategy Development :
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve company sales targets.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies and capitalize on opportunities.
2. Relationship Management :
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail chains.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regional clients, addressing concerns and providing solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
3. Team Leadership :
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives in the region.
- Set performance targets, provide ongoing coaching, and evaluate performance to ensure optimal team productivity.
4. Business Development :
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into new markets and securing new clients.
- Negotiate and close deals with new and existing customers to grow market share.
5. Sales Reporting and Analysis :
- Track sales performance against targets and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Use data to forecast sales trends and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
6. Trade Shows & Marketing :
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to showcase products and secure new partnerships.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns that drive sales.
7. Inventory & Distribution Coordination :
- Collaborate with the supply chain and distribution teams to ensure timely product availability and delivery within the region.
- Monitor inventory levels and work to optimize stock management based on regional demand.
8. Compliance :
- Ensure all regional sales activities comply with local regulations and company policies.
- Monitor customer feedback and industry regulations to ensure product quality and compliance.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience in the candy, confectionery, or food & beverage industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable strategies.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
