Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this full-time position will be to provide psychosocial treatment and services to children and families of the school-based health centers.
This position will support the mission of SMCHD in promoting a healthy community in St. Mary's County by responding to the overwhelming need for expanded behavioral health services for children in St.
Mary's County.This position will also provide comprehensive professional clinical assessment, referral / coordination of care, direct treatment, case management, advocacy, crisis intervention and other services to persons and families presenting with emotional, behavioral related types of problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the requirements for Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
Experience : Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the requirements for Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. In accordance with Health Occupations Title 17 and Code of Maryland Regulations , candidates placed in this classification must be licensed by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
2. Candidates appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.
Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
