Software Asset License Compliance Business Analyst IT L3

Location - Marysville, OH (Hybrid of 60% or more remote along with onsite work)

Contract Duration June 2024 June 30, 2025

Overtime Approximately 5 hours / week max

Job Description :

This is very much a software detailed knowledge role; the best candidate will know the in's and out's of many desktop software package from a how to correctly purchase and license point of view.

• Daily Tasks Performed : Proficient in complex licensing models for client (Microsoft, Adobe, Snagit, Tableau, and many others)
• Collaborate with NA IT Regional Support teams, client IT Vendor Management Office, NA Indirect Procurement, client Legal and Independent software vendors (ISV) or Value-Added Resellers (VARs) or Large Account Resellers (LARs) to obtain needed quotes.
• Review and confirm each software request to ensure it makes sense and it is correct per the software license model for the software requested.

Also, paying attention to details about the request so it is completed timely for the requesting customer.

• Using clear verbal and / or written communication with internal and external parties to clear up confusion and misunderstanding about the requested software license products.
• This role will be teaching many folks the right way to think about and understand software licensing.
• Great problem solving and analysis of each new situation which will pop up daily in ServiceNow system.

What will this person be working on :

The daily tasks will involve learning and enforcing client's internal client software request process, and focusing on the steps that are assigned to the IT Software Asset Team.

Which will include evaluating the need for the requested license, and ensuring the best solution is available to the requesting customer.

The results of a success assignment will be completion of all new request each day and satisfied internal customer who need new software for their desktops, while ensuring all issued software is entered and tracked in our system.

• Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS' : Solid subject matter expert knowledge on software asset license compliance and how to maintain it once achieved.
• Great attention to detail and problem solving, not every request for software is straightforward, this assigned role will need to assess what they can about what is known and make solid best practice response actions according to the information provided.
• Effective communication skills within the team, with external teams and multiple levels of management.
• Advise internal IT teams on key findings and best practice solutions.
