Pay Information
$165 to $175 per hour
About The Position
Join our passionate pediatric team at a well-equipped North Carolina hospital. Be part of a supportive environment giving 24 / 7 pediatric care.
Practice Details :
- Mission-driven, modern health system in North Carolina
- 114-bed hospital delivering comprehensive patient care
- Support staff includes neonatal nurse practitioners, onsite radiologist, and 24-hour laboratory availability
- Efficient air and ground transport for NICU patient transfers when needed
Schedule :
- Patient rounding in the mornings followed by call coverage
- Must be able to respond to deliveries within 30 minutes
- Inpatient census of 5 / day on average
- 2 patients / day / provider
- 2 admits / day / provider
Qualifications :
- Board-certified Pediatric Hospitalist
- PALS, BLS, DEA, and NRP certifications required
Cases and Procedures :
- Pediatric Hospitalist responsibilities include :
- Coverage of newborn nursery, scheduled c-sections and deliveries
- Respond to codes
- Manage routine cases in an inpatient setting
- Prepare / stabilize patients for transfer to NICU
- No ICU / Critical Care duties
