Material Handler
San Diego, CA
Monday Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM
Duties :
- Performs the physical tasks involved in receiving, shipping and storing of raw materials, finished products, in process used materials and other supplies and equipment.
- Operates material handling equipment in the movement and storage of materials.
- Prepares temperature sensitive filled product for shipment to commercial partners as well as contract manufacturers per SOP’s.
- Performs duties per cGMP regulations and standard operating procedures
- Maintains required segregation, security, labeling and storage conditions for all inventory materials.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and working environment. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Able to work in a Grade D controlled clean environment
- Able to lift 50 60 lbs.
- Able to push and pull pallet jacks
- Experience with stand-up forklifts and or walking stackers is a huge plus
- Able to drive forklifts. Coming in already certified is a plus however you will still be required to complete company forklift training
- Must have biotech experience or GMP warehouse experience
- Pharmaceutical or medical device experience is preferred
- WILL NEED DEA Clearance or CA Driver's License, and a good driving record
DRIVING IS REQUIRED IN THIS ROLE
Will be driving the company truck between buildings. Buildings based in San Diego, CA, and Mira Mesa, CA, approximately 17.
2 miles round trip to load and then offload materials. The company truck must then always end at the Mira Mesa building at the end of each shift.
