JSI invites you to join our team as a Remote Permit Agent on our Fiber Design & Implementation team in Lubbock, TX, where you'll play a critical role in advancing broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and drive digital inclusion—while advancing your career within a mission-driven, growth-focused organization.

Position Overview :

As a Remote Permit Agent, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting permit applications to Local, State, and Federal Agencies. This position will work closely with the engineers and design team to ensure projects stay on track by lining up permits and expediting the process for all parties.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for securing the timely preparation and submission of plans, inspections, and permits through various municipalities (DOT’s, BLM, DNR, State Land and National Forest) while acting as a liaison for the company.
• Track all pending permits for multiple projects through the review process and timeline schedules while effectively communicating the status of each permit.
• Supports the Engineering department by documenting and processing all plan revisions and coordinating time-frame requirements based on construction.
• Follow up on existing projects with appropriate departments and managers, to move jobs through the permitting process efficiently to meet deadlines, which include administrative duties.
• Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with permitting agencies and third-party subconsultants.
