Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Multimodality Mammography / Sonography Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience and current MA licenses in Radiography and Mammography.

Responsibilities

  • Position based in a Level 1 trauma hospital breast imaging department
  • Performs both mammography and breast ultrasound procedures
  • Duties include diagnostic and screening exams, ultrasound and mammographic-guided breast interventions, and bone densitometry
  • Full-time, 8-hour mid shifts with a 40-hour workweek, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Works under the supervision of the Radiology Administrative Director and Clinical Supervisor of Breast Imaging
  • Responsible for both diagnostic and screening examinations, as well as image-guided breast procedures
  • May be required to support other staff and interact with clinicians as necessary
  • References must include recent performance evaluations, and cannot be provided by other travelers

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a multimodality technologist in mammography and sonography
  • Active MA state license in Radiography and Mammography required if applicable
  • Certification by ARRT in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M), plus ARRT (BS) or RDMS (BR)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Recent experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital setting
  • Professional references, including at least one from a manager, required
