Senior Procurement Auditor

Pay Rate : per hour
Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm
Responsibilities :
- Conduct audits of state agencies' procurement systems to ensure compliance with the Procurement Code.
- Lead audits of simple to moderately complex procurement systems as the Auditor-in-Charge.
- Collaborate with Audit Managers to evaluate large, complex procurement systems.
- Develop effective audit plans and strategies for each engagement.
- Prepare detailed and professional engagement work papers.
- Communicate diplomatically with State Agency personnel and management during audits.
- Formulate comprehensive audit findings and recommend cost-effective corrective actions.
- Craft concise and constructive written reports detailing audit results and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively and efficiently within audit teams.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, or finance, with relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, theories, and techniques.
- Familiarity with federal or state procurement laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel software.
- CPA or CIA certification is advantageous.
