Director, Capital Projects and Space Planning

Position Summary

  • Direct and oversee capital projects, and respective budgets, for NYU School of Law. Direct real estate, construction, renovation and refurbishment projects, from design to completion;
  • oversee work schedules; control furniture budget; and monitor construction budget. Oversee space planning; identify departmental requirements, facilities including design and layout;

develop and control budgets; negotiate service and material costs with contractors; ensure building code compliance; and, serve as project manager.

Oversee all lease agreements.

Qualifications

Required Education :

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration or related field

Required Experience :

7+ years of progressively responsible managerial experience in administration, facilities management, construction, or other related area or equivalent combination.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :

Excellent analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate a variety of information to individuals at all levels.

Proven ability to plan and implement long-term strategies for managing complex projects and resources.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00 to USD $150,000.

This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
