Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Principal / Sr Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Segment in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Setting up cost control system, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
- Performing analyses and preparing reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters.
- Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and / or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
- Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
- Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and preparation of expenditure projections.
- Monthly material and subcontract financial forecasting.
- Participating in month-end financial reporting close activities.
- Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly financial reporting / forecasting and monthly EACs.
- Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies.
Basic Qualifications :
Requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.)Requires a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a master's degree; or 9 years of related experience may be accepted with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree (Sr Principal level requires 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a master's degree; or 12 years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree)Requires experience with Deltek CobraRequires experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and TeamsRequires experience with proposals and program start upRequires experience successfully supporting a monthly financial forecasting rhythmRequires experience with all facets of Cost Management including Controller, Labor Cost Management, Material Cost Management, Earned Value Management with external government reporting, Schedule Management and financial forecastingPreferred Qualifications :
Active DoD Secret level security clearance or higher5+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.Proficient in Deltek Cobra, SAP, PowerBIStrong analytical abilityAbility to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlinesAbility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentExcellent problem solving and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to present to SDS leadershipPosition Benefits :
