Overview :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bachelor Level Licensed Social Worker (LSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and advocacy to individuals and families facing various challenges.
As an LSW, you will work closely with clients and families to address their mental and behavioral health needs, develop and maintain treatment plans, support clients through the use of individual, family, and group interventions, and connect them with appropriate resources and supportive services.
Daily role functions for this role will include providing individual and family therapy to clients as well as facilitating individual and group psychosocial skills training.
Our private practice offers autonomy and independence while maintaining a sense of community, and our Mindfully Academy provides training opportunities in different modalities and specializations, such as DBT, EMDR, Child / Adolescent, SUD, Couples / IFS / Emotion Focused / Gottman and much more.

Essential Duties :
- Identify clients' needs, challenges, and strengths as a part of ongoing treatment and assessment under the supervision of clinical and agency supervisors.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Provide counseling and support services to clients facing a variety of challenges, including mental health issues, behavioral issues, addressing trauma, and identifying additional needs and making referrals.
- Advocate for clients and assist them in accessing necessary resources and support services.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists, healthcare providers, and community organizations, to ensure clients receive comprehensive care.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations under the supervision of clinical and agency supervisors.
- Provide individual and group interventions for psychoeducation of social skills to support treatment plan goals and objectives.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
- Provides appropriate and effective essential feedback to others, including families, treatment team members, collaborative agencies, and community supports.
- Regularly meets with supervisors and / or treatment team to plan and problem solve for client and family needs.
- Provides a safe space for clients and families in the working environments (home, school / daycare, community, or in-office).
- Interacts with children, families, and other staff members in a professional, positive manner.
- Exhibits flexibility and adaptability in rapidly changing environments.
- Supports prescribed clinical treatment by teaching and implementing the Positive Leaps model of care and curriculum or any other prescribed intervention.
- Prepares, updates, and maintains timely and accurate documentation of clinical data in accordance with Ohio Laws, 3rd party payers, and agency policies and standards.
- Facilitate Prior and Re-Authorizations with 3rd party payers to ensure financial support for services for clients and families.
- Implements and collects data related to treatment goals and objectives.
- Consistently meets performance measures including competency indicators and participates in quality assurance activities (data gather, data analysis) for the purpose of continuous quality improvement.
- Assures consistent implementation of Positive Leaps’ Policies and Procedures.
- Provides crisis intervention services during or after regular business hours, if the need arises
- Demonstrates ethical conduct, in keeping with professional standards set by licensee’s professional board and Positive Leap’ ethical code.
- Models professional behavior and demeanor, dress and work space organization.
- Completes assigned tasks as directed by supervisors and within agency timeframes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements :
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work with Ohio License.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Must be able to work with all ages of children.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a very active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to pass a rigorous background check.
- Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Willingness to work in various environments to promote treatment (i.e. client home, school, office, and community).
- Must be willing to work at least 2 evenings per week (5pm or later).
Exposures and Risks :
- Potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Works directly with physically aggressive children.
- Exposed to loud noise, such as repeated and prolonged screaming and crying.
Compensation :
$21 to $24 per hour depending on experience.
