Pride Health is hiring Medical Laboratory Scientist II - to support our client’s medical facility based in Portland, OR 97232 and Portland, OR 97210

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Required - GENERALIST with some blood bank experience , ASCP or AMT, and Blood Bank Experience is required.

Location : Portland, OR 97232, Portland, OR 97210

Job Type : 3 months - W2 contract - with possible extension

Schedule : 8 am-5 pm Mon-Friday rotating weekends occasionally

Pay Range : MLS $28-$40.00 PER HOUR

MLT $28-$35 PER HOUR

Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)

Responsibilities :

• Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist.
• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.
• BLOOD BANK EXPERIENCE is Required.
• Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
