This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days onsite at the Hagerstown, MD Site.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Evaluate new Internet of Things (IoT) products and practices, and identify software system designs and solutions
  • Plan, develop, and implement improvements and changes to existing architecture and applications
  • Coordinate system development and execution in a team environment
  • Manage a team of cloud engineers, providing oversight and technical direction for their day to day operations
  • Define and implement software development processes and procedures
  • Research, study, and propose use of new software / technologies to be used in the development of new and improved products and features
  • Establish regular interactions with your team focusing on employee development and growth
  • Prepare technical solution design proposals and presentations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 8-plus years related experience
  • Proficiency with cloud native development languages and techniques
  • Experience with one or more major cloud platforms (e.g. Azure / AWS / Vercel)
  • Experience with SQL (e.g., Azure SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
  • Experience with CI / CD tools and test automation
  • Experience with DevOps tools and principles
  • Experience with Agile development methodology and tools (e.g. Jira)
  • Experience leading a team of software engineers
  • STANDOUT QUALIFICATION

  • Experience with C#, Python, JavaScript, Go, or similar programming language(s)
  • Experience with web-based applications to store and access complex "big" data
  • Experience with Azure Data Explorer or Log Analytics and the Kusto Query Language
  • Understanding of common IoT architectures and tools
  • Understanding of microservice architecture and scalability
  • Experience with system design considering cyber security and SecOps principles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with automotive or heavy-duty construction / industrial equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with MQTT and other IoT messaging systems
  • Ability to thrive in a startup-like culture, excel in ambiguous situations, and embrace technical challenges

  • Pay Range

    $101,100.00 - $166,700.00

    The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by factors including experience, education and skills, and pay equity considerations.
